Refund & Cancellation Policy
At Party Pleasers Events, we believe in clear expectations and transparent policies. The following Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all wedding and event services and reflects the terms outlined in our signed service contracts.
Deposits
- All bookings require an initial deposit.
- Deposits are refundable for 15 days from the date of booking.
- After the 15-day window, deposits become non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Deposits may not be applied to different clients or unrelated events.
Payment Schedule
- 50% of the remaining balance is due 90 days prior to the event date.
- Final payment is due 30 days prior to the event date.
- Payments due at 90 days and 30 days prior to the event are non-refundable.
- Services will not be rendered unless the account is paid in full prior to the event.
Cancellations
- If an event is cancelled more than 90 days prior to the scheduled event date, all payments made beyond the initial deposit will be refunded.
- If an event is cancelled within 90 days of the event date, no payments are refundable.
- All cancellations must be submitted in writing and confirmed by a cancelled contract signed by both parties.
- Failure to submit written cancellation notice will result in the client being responsible for the full contracted amount.
Bookings Within 90 Days
- For events booked fewer than 90 days in advance, a 50% deposit is required.
- That deposit is refundable for 15 days only.
- The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the event and is non-refundable.
Postponements
- One (1) postponement is permitted per contract.
- A new $250 deposit is required to reserve the new date.
- If postponement notice is provided at least 30 days prior to the original event date, all payments minus the original deposit will be applied to the new date.
- Postponements within 30 days of the event date are not permitted.
- Payments may only be transferred once. A second postponement will result in forfeiture of all payments.
- Payments are otherwise non-transferable.
Acts of God / Civil Authority
- If an event is cancelled or postponed due to Acts of God or Civil Authority (including but not limited to severe weather, government restrictions, or venue shutdowns), clients may reschedule their event within 12 months of the original event date at no additional charge.
- If the client elects to cancel rather than reschedule, the standard cancellation policy applies.
Weather-Related Events
- For “Rain or Shine” events, refunds are not issued due to inclement weather.
- If services must be paused or discontinued for safety reasons, compensation is not affected.
Non-Removable Services
- DJ services and Photo Booth services may not be removed from a contract within 90 days of the event date.
- Any additions or upgrades requested may result in additional charges.
Third-Party Services
- Photo booth services are fulfilled by our partner company, Photo Booth Cincy.
- Refunds related to photo booth services are governed by the same cancellation and refund terms outlined above.
Ohio Consumer Notice
Ohio law permits businesses to enforce refund and cancellation policies when they are clearly disclosed and agreed to at the time of booking. By submitting payment and signing a service contract with Party Pleasers Events, clients acknowledge and agree to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
